Thriftwood
Summer Camp 2006

The Cubs summer camp was at Thriftwood, Chelmsford from at the end of July. It was a wooded site with quite a few groups and a lake that we went rafting on.

We had as a theme ‘Air Activities’ and we worked towards Air Activities Badge, Outdoor Activity Challenge, and Artists Badge.

The activities were organised and run as a pack. We did everything from air rifle shooting, and climbing to raft-building along with all the more traditional camp activities of fire lighting, outdoor cooking, orienteering and sports. We also had some craft activities (although the weather was glorious).
